4.Pyhätunturi: Husky safari 5km including a farm visit

★★★★★★★★★★4.1 · 72 reviews · 1.5 hours · from $165

Ride six Alaskan huskies through Lapland, visit a private farm, hear their stories, and warm up with berry juice by a fire.

“A great day with the Alaskan huskeys, learning about their breed and how they run the Pyha farm. It appears they treat the dogs quite well. My only complaint is that because there was 40 people in the group it took a long time to get organized and sledding, it made the actual ride feel quite short. If the ride was 8-10km it might have felt a bit more worth the money but either way we had an amazing time!”

“Great experience. Everything was excellent. The husky ride was long and beautiful, winding through the forest. We also fed reindeer and ate a very tasty soup. The guides were very helpful and friendly. We learned a lot about reindeer. Special thanks to the guide who also shared a location for seeing the Northern Lights — thanks to that, today we finally saw the aurora. Thank you. A family-friendly tour. I highly recommend it, as we were with three children and they also enjoyed everything.”

Ride a reindeer sledge through Lapland wilderness, visit Kopara Reindeer Park, and learn about traditional herding in a small group.

“Magical trip. Staff from point of collection to safari were both knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The trail was stunning. We were in a small group so didn’t get lost at the back of the crowd and could hear everything said. Trail was beautiful. Only thing I would suggest is to book before 1pm if you want good photos as it starts to get dark quick, and especially if your are bringing children under 8 to wrap them up extra warm as you are sat still for an hour and it gets bitterly cold by the end of it. I admit it was expensive but it was an experience of a…”
